Vertigo...You are not Welcome 'Ear

So what else is going to come annoyingly my way...well no sooner did I start to knit my snood than vertigo reared it's ugly self. Admittedly I have felt dizzy a couple times in the last couple of weeks...thinking it was something to do with wearing a visor I pushed the inconvenience aside...excuse the pun...I stumbled to the right quite dramatically whilst at work. But Saturday evening there was no doubting it's presence. Glad when I was finally in bed and the spinning had stopped I woke yesterday to a decidedly not normal feeling in my left ear. Things are not too bad if I keep my head still...and I can walk and even look around as long as my whole body matches the movement of my head. Terribly fun.

Monday morning should see me up before the shiny one in the sky and heading off to work to earn some pennies...not so today...I am home alone, and feeling somewhat lost. There is plenty to do...but reluctance to set the whole thing off again I really can't be bending, twisting or shaking a duster in the corners. Putting decorations up in the attic is also off the adgenda. So now I am officially bored...never thought I'd miss going to work, but I kind of do.

It is quite literally freezing outside...-4.5 is the reading on our home weather station. I do plan to have a wander up the garden though...I haven't been up there for a few weeks so I should see the difference in things hopefully popping up in readiness for Spring.

As it's full moon this evening, the first after plough Monday I am hopeful we will wassail our apple, and other fruit trees this evening. Lets face it a glass of cider shouldn't do any more damage than the vertigo is at the moment.

Maybe a few more rows of the snood will appear later on today...but for now the only way forward is a list...nothing too difficult...but moping about the place isn't going to make things better.

Blessings, J. x

  1. I hope you have managed to wassail your apple tree and that it bears a good crop later in the year for you following your efforts! Arilx

    1. Ha yes...the little people banged on pots and pans...I had a tambourine...we hung the soaked toast in the tree and offered up apple juice. Any lurking evil spirits should have been well and truly banished! Sadly no morris dancers to be found though!! x

  2. Oh no! I hope you are feeling a bit better now. I have no fruit trees so no wassailing here but I'm glad that you were able to do the deed. x

    1. The vertigo has settled down, however, possibly courtesy of the little people I now have a flu like bug...all tests negative for covid, but really similar symptoms...loss of taste, sore throat, headache, aches, shivers and a temperature of over 38. x
